Book Week Parade

On Friday our classroom magically transformed into fairytale land with many children coming to school dressed as their favourite fairytale character.  The Big Bad Wolf was on his best behaviour and luckily didn't eat Little Red.

Expo

On Wednesday afternoon we invited our parents to our classroom to see all of the exciting work that we have been doing this term.  We read them our comics, played our own fairytale board games, showed off our castles and heaps more!  We were very proud of all the hard work we have been doing this term. 

Fairytale Castles

The whole school was incredibly impressed with the spectacular castles created by our Level 2 families. We proudly displayed them at our open afternoon, and also in the library after our book week parade.   

Plays

This week everyone starred in our own fairytale plays. We performed Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk and The Three Little Pigs. We especially loved dressing up in costumes and acting out the stories.

Swimming

The Great Gingerbread Hunt!

After running around the school for a few days our cheeky gingerbread people have finally been caught! On Friday we made lots of traps and left them in the classroom over lunchtime. When we came back in we were suprised to find both of the missing gingerbread people stuck in the traps. We celebrated by decorating our own gingerbread cookies and then eating them all up - Yum!

Racing the clock

This week we have been measuring time. We have been investigating how many times we can do things in one minute. We counted how many beads we could thread in one minute. We then guessed how many we could do in 2 minutes.
