Fairytales

This term our classroom has been transformed into a magical Fairytale world.  We are having great fun reading and dressing up as fairytale characters.  There are lots of lessons we can learn from fairytales and we will be exploring as many as we can this term.  This week we read Cinderella.

Division stories

This week in maths we have been learning about division.  We decided to make our own division class book, full of stories about sharing.  Here are some of the pages of our book.

Macs in action

Term 3 has gotten off to a great start with our Apple Mac incursion on Wednesday.  We all were able to record ourselves reading our own stories which we wrote last term.  We used a program called photo booth, which was heaps of fun.

Open night

Circus Concert

This term we have had so much fun learning circus tricks with Ella.  We practised really hard with our devil sticks and were able to do some impressive tricks, like half-spins!  Here are some photos of the things we did in circus skills this term.

On the night of the concert we were all so excited.  We got to wear sparkly costumes and there was groovy music playing when we were on stage.   What a fabulous show!

Weather in our World

Wow, we have certainly been busy over Term 2!  This term we have been learning all about different types of weather.  Mr Blamey came and did some experiments with us.  We made rainbows from a light and special prisms. We squeezed bottles until clouds appeared inside.  We also made fog on the outside of a beaker using ice, salt and a lot of stirring.  We learnt that hot air rises and we even made our own thermometers.  Here are some photos of us being scientists.

We wrote our own weather reports and then video called our our classroom and presented our weather report to the class, just like a real weather reporter!.
